Up to 50% of healthcare workers at some stage of their career, to varying degrees, experience occupational contact dermatitis(OCD). This course aims to educate the learner on risks that may lead to skin breakdown and dermatitis, promote best practice and increase awareness on preventative strategies with a good skincare routine.

An in-depth look at all areas essential to maintaining skin integrity, related to hand hygiene, is covered in this course. A mix of videos, animation and images help the content to be engaging and impactful.

This online training is aimed at all staff working in:

  • Healthcare,
  • Dental,
  • Medical practices,
  • Residential Aged Care,
  • Community and Respite care.

  • Learning Outcomes

    On Completion of this course trainees will:

    1. Have a better understanding of the causes of irritant  contact dermatitis (ICD).
    2. Understand the importance of having a good skincare routine at work and home.
    3. Learn how to prevent contact dermatitis.
    4. Know what to do if experiencing skin breakdown and dermatitis.
  • Add members of your team, when registering for this course to track their progress. Trainees will cover the following modules:

    Hand Dermatitis: Considerations

    Prevention is key & good Skin Care is Vital

    Each module is accompanied by a multiple choice test to assess the trainee's understanding of the content. When all module tests are complete the trainee will receive a personalised certificate.
