This online training programme covers a best practice approach to leg ulcer cleansing based on evidence and case studies in a modern wound care setting. The course also considers active ingredients and their relative performance.

This course can be accessed at work or at home on a variety of smart devices.

    The learning outcomes for this training are that you will:  

    1. Understand the importance of maintaining skin integrity around a leg ulcer.
    2. Gain knowledge to be able to more confidently implement a new approach to leg ulcer cleansing using antimicrobial wash mitts.
    3. Gain an awareness of different active agents and their relative performance.
    4. Understand the mode of action of Octenidine and how it interacts with bacteria.
