This course follows on from the schülke sponsored plenary session at the 2017 Wounds UK annual conference and features presentations by Jacqui Fletcher and Dr Michael Braun.
This training programme covers the effect that infections and biofilms have on wound management, the role and effectiveness of topical antimicrobials, best practice approaches to wound management particularly of larger surface area wounds and achieving patient outcomes.
The presentations in this online course were recorded at a schülke sponsored plenary session at the 2017 Wounds UK annual conference in Harrogate. The speakers are Jacqui Fletcher, Independent Consultant and Dr Michael Braun, Manager Medical Affairs, Schülke & Mayr GmbH.

On completion of this course trainees will:
1. Have an awareness of the germs found in infected wounds.
2. Gain an understanding of the role of topical antimicrobials in the treatment of biofilm infected wounds.
3. Observe the best practice management of large surface area wounds.
4. Appreciate the importance of maximising patient outcomes.
